離陸は夜中の一時過ぎ。暗かったので飛行機のスナップは到着後アルランダ空港で撮りました。



首を傾げて読んでくださいね。
なかなか食欲をそそるメニューです。
女王様のお誕生日前後はタイでは母の日だそうで、記念メニューがあるとか。
面白いですね。


①　離陸後５０分にドリンクサービス。
行きと同じで炭酸ミネラルウォーターを頼むとソーダーウォーターがでてきます。スナックはなし。


機内はなかなかゆったりしています。座席の倒せる角度が深いのと座席の感覚も普段私が利用する航空会社より若干広いです。



離陸後1:10で食事です。
オプション①はタイ風チキン炒め。
にんにく、チリ、タイバジルの入ったチキンの炒め物、ご飯と野菜。

なかなか辛かったです。お肉はパサパサめ。2☆。


こちらはオプション②はポークピカタ。
焼きポーク、トマトとバジルのソース、麺と野菜（かぼちゃ、にんじん、ピーマン、ナス、しいたけ。

お肉が柔らかくて4☆。付け合せの野菜もおいしいです。

お隣とで一個ずつにしました。

それにパスタサラダ。パン、クラッカー、チーズが付いています。
パスタはアルデンテでちょうどいい湯で具合、でも脂っこすぎてアウトです。
珍しく飲み物に赤ワインをのみました。もちろん水も。


デザート：ラズベリークランブルケーキと紅茶。
なかなかグーです。

着陸一時間半前に朝食がサーブされました。

行きと同じでまず目覚ましに飲み物が出てきます。
ジュース数種類か水。

その１０分後に朝食がくばられます。


オプション①はオムレツ。
マッシュルームクリームのオムレツ、トマト、チキンソーセージ、ポテト。

ふんわりしていておいしかったです。


オプション②はパンケーキ。
パンケーキ、ベーコン、子牛ソーセージ、ブルーベリーソース、トマト。

パンケーキは普通、ベーコンがいまいちでした。
お隣とで一個ずつ。
それと、ヨーグルト、フルーツ、クロワッサン、ジャムとバターです。

タイであまりにもおいしい果物をたくさん食べたので飛行機の果物、かなりまずくかんじました。
行きなら喜んでたべていたのでしょうにねー。

紅茶お変わりのときにCAさんが食べかけのパンケーキに少しこぼしてしまいました。
ことわったにもかかわらず　即交換してくれました。これぞサービス！


50周年記念だそうで　記念ロゴ入りのナプキンです。
残念ながらストックホルム便は古い機体になります。それでも満足のいくサービス。
一度タイ航空の最新型乗ってみたいです！

A past midnight flight to Stockholm from Bangkok.
As I was traveling with my husband, we took one plate each and sampled food from each other.

First the late night dinner, pork (4*)or chicken(2*).
The chicken is their signature dish, but I liked the port better simply due to the meat quality and the vegetable side being so tasty.
The chicken was pretty spicy and the meat was dry. I am sure I would have loved both dishes if this was Stockholm > Bangkok flight but as we experienced excellent meals during our vacation in Bangkok, the usually great that-inflight meal felt like....yes, inflight meal.

For the breakfast, the omelet was the choice of my preference. Fluffy.

The fruit we ate during our stay in Thailand was so excellent so this fruit plate on the breakfast felt less tasty. Good but not compareable to what you can get outside the plane.
Still, I must say Thai is a good air carrier.

Thai Royal Silk lounge at C @ Bangkok Suvarnabhumi

バンコク国際空港のコンコースC、タイ・ロイヤルシルクラウンジに来ました。
ここの空港ってタイラウンジだけでも数箇所あるので　あり程度は好みで選択できます。
でも私はたいがいここ。



朝バンコクに行き、午後から夕方まで歩き回っていたので　シャワーがあるのがうれしい！
時間的にちょっとあせっていたので　シャワーに飛び込んでから　写真のこと思い出した、失敗失敗。
せめてものスナップ。ふかふかのタオルとボディーソープです。

ここでシャワー使うのは３回目かな。



さてと腹ごなし。実はバンコクで夕食食べ損ねました！　最後に駆け込んでシュウマイ５個を２人で食べたのですが　ちょっと食べると余計空腹感増しますよね。




もう夜遅く、サービス終了間際なので「残り物」ばかりです。
そう、これだけ充実していても「残り物」

でもよく見ていると油気の多い　夜遅くには食べたくない軽食が多いでしょ？




こっちはうれしいな。　アジア、食べ収めしておかないと。




脂っこいものの悪口書いておいてしっかり一個とっている私。

お気に入りラウンジです。さてと、飛行機ではよく眠れるとといいな。



this is the lounge I prefer to use among all thai and *A lounges in BangkSuvarnabhumi. Why? I actually don't know for sure why I like it. I think it's simply because it's the very first lounge I used in this airport + that it is smaller than the others.

I traveled to Bangkok, spent a 1/2 days there, and came to here late in the evening. Had a semi-heart attack experience few hours earlier when we discovered the front gate at the Bangkok station being closed. Our bags!!!!! We can not go home without it!
The side entrance was open but that we did not know.

In anyway, after a long day with a night flight ahead, I really appreciate the very clean and luxurious shower rooms you can use here.

As the lounge was going to close soon, it was no warm meal left. Just some light snacks kept warm. Still plenty to eat. I especially enjoy the very Asian soft sandwiches and the pork buns here.

Once they had a very nice cheesecake, but those I haven't seen the last times I've passed by this place.

Narathiwat airport

青い空、赤いグッツが鮮やかにうつる　タイのナラティワート空港にエアアジアで飛んできました。
ナラティワート県は各国の外務省が渡航危険情報「渡航の延期をお勧めします」をだしているので訪れる外人は少ないと思います。












思ったより手入れの行き届いている　空港設備。

機関銃を持った兵士が空港の外に立っていました。

ここから国境直行のリムジンバス利用です。
問題なく国境まで移動できました。よかった。

If you are careful traveler following recommendations from Foreign ministry, you are not supposed to be here. We did a lot of research and took the chance. Why? Cause we wanted to go to North Eastern Malaysia as fast as possible.

So, according to our understanding, Air Asia is the only carrier operating to this deep south city.
The airport was clean, calm, sleepy and very normal.

The Airport was guarded by military staff with huge machine gun.

We took the 180THB direct bus to the border and was out from the Thailand without any incident in 1.5h after landing.

アジアで幅を利かせているエアアジア。
欧州のライアンエアーみたいなものをイメージしていたら大違い。
こちらのほうが断然プロフェッショナル、格が違います。
機内も新しくきれいでした。

行き先は外務省の「渡航の延期をお勧めします。」との危険情報が発出されているナラティワート県。
白人は私の連れ、たった一人でした。

機内食は有料。メニューはなかなか豊富。この線で１３種類のミールあり。うち４種類がジャンク系、３種類が定番、４種類が季節限定もの。




What a surprise. Positive.Asia Air.
I was imaging something like European Ryan Air.
No,no, this is in an another division. This feels professional!
Clean and effective service.

Inflight meal, which you have to pay for, looked pretty good too. However, I just counted the number of varieties they had (13, where 4 is classified as 'junk', 4 is seasonal offers) and those looked pretty good to me.

The only non-Asian flying was my partner.

Bangkok Suvarnabhumi airport

何年たっても名前を覚えられない空港にやってきました。
スバルナブミ？
スワナプーン？
読み方も発音もなぞです。
好きな空港ですが。



エアアジアに乗り換えるのでラウンジも利用できません。なので空港のショップ、レストラン、コンビニなどを見てぶらぶら。
バスターミナルやパーキングを巡回している無料バスにのってバスターミナルに言ってみます。
前回あそこを通ったとき確か大きなコンビニと空港よりはローカル色が濃いフードコートがあったので。

前回着たとき気がつかなかったのですがバスターミナルの横にタクシーターミナルもあるではないですか。
運転手さんの休息所みたいになっている。
いってみました。




数百ではすまない、千台近くとまっているのじゃない？
しかもここはフードコート、お祈り場、ジム、マッサージ師、テレビ、ゲムセン　ETC　と運転手が休息したり時間つぶしたりするのに必要なもの何でもある！！！

トランジットの時間つぶし、ぜひにお勧めです。食事も安いよ！　
空港の１０分の１ぐらいの値段で屋台のおいしいタイ料理食べれるなんて　ザ・穴場ではないですか♪。



To kill some time during the transit, we went to the bus terminal with the free bus, as I remember there were a hawkers center + bigger 7-eleven there.
What I did not notice last time here (in the dark) was the taxi-terminal. Hundreds, or rather thousands of taxi are lined up, and everything that a taxi driver needs to kill time is available: food, temple, mobile shop, thai massage, gym, chess.......

This is a great place to kill time. The food cost 1/10 of what you pay at the airport and you probably get better, tastier and more authentic food here.
Highly recommended!

まずは内装から。
紫と黄色のシートです。この写真を見た方に教えてもらったのですが　この黄色は月曜日を意味するそうです。
ではなぜ月曜日なのでしょう？
タイの王様が月曜日生まれだから、だって。
紫はタイ航空のコーポレートカラー。


搭乗のとき通ったガレーで機内食ブロガーにはちょっとうれしい一枚の紙を発見。
普通食、特別食などすべての当機でサーブされる機内食のリストです。

≪ドリンク写真なし≫
離陸後５０分にドリンクサービス。
炭酸ミネラルウォーターを頼むが　そういったものはなく変わりに、とソーダウォーターを出される。
クラッカー。

ボーっとしていたのでしょうね。写真撮り忘れました。


離陸後一時間半で食事です。
食事：　オプション①ポークカレー。オプション②チキンのパスタ。
①を選択。


ココナツとチリソースの豚肉カレー。
ピーナッツ、ジャガイモ、オニオン、ごはん、グリーンビーンズ。

これはおいしい。
ココナツの味が利いていて肉はトロリ、ジャガイモは程よい歯ごたえあり。豆もしゃきっとしていて5☆！　


生ハム、梨とヤギチーズ。
こちらも文句なし、5☆！


デザートはアップルケーキと紅茶。
デザートはかりっとしたはごたえがほしかった。でもクランブルケーキじゃないのでこれでいいのかな。3☆

その他プレートには：
パン、クラッカー、チーズ。
飲み物：水と赤ワイン。
ミルクはオルガニック製品でした。


塩コショウのパッケージです。
実は私コレクター。


メニューカードはこんな感じです。朝ごはんも楽しみだぁ！


騒がしいフィンランド人の男子グループが夜通しで宴会をやっていたには参りました。
耳栓を通る響く騒がしさです。


着陸一時間半前に朝のサービスがはじまりました。
まず目覚ましに飲み物。
ジュースか水。

１０分後に朝食。


オプション①はスクランブルエッグ。
ソーセージ、トマト、Rostiが付け合せです。

オムレツより下のスクランブルエッグのほうがおいしかった。
そのスクランブルエッグもトロリさがかけるので4☆どまりです。

オプション②はオムレツ。
こっちはベーコンとポテト入り。

それにヨーグルト、フルーツ、クロワッサンがついてました。
つけあわせは3☆。総合４ってことにしましょうか。


タイ航空はお手洗いにも国花のランが飾ってましたよ！
おいしいものが食べれたよいフライトでした。


A long and both painful and joyful flight.
Let's start with the negative part. It was a group of Finnish men, kicking off their party-trip to Thailand already on the plane. It was amazing how much they drunk! The constantly had beer and cocktails, non stop for 8 hours or so.
Too noisy! I wish I could have thrown them out from the plane and I was definitely not the only person thinking so.

The joyful part. The food.
Oh my, it was good! I have to re-evaluate the way I rate the food as I tend to use only 2,3,4 out of my 1-5 scale. So here we go, I have the pork curry a 5!
It has distinct flavor of coconut, melting soft pork and still fresh tasting vegetables. The sides were good too.
For the dessert, I wanted more crispyness (but as this was not crumble cake, my rating is kind of mean) so I rated it lower.

The egg-breakfast was also good, but not the top end.
The unbeaten best inflight scramble egg so far is on Austrian for it's creamy, soft texture.
Thai did not beat them.

SAS lounge @ Arlanda, Stockholm

2週間前は夏休み休業中だったこのラウンジ。
サービス再開、営業中です。




本日のサンドイッチの具は
・ピクルスサラダ
・ターキーのハム
・TIKKAドレッシング
・グリーンサラダ



パン数種類。



甘いものは本日クッキー３種類、とジンジャーブレッドの焼き菓子。





どちらかといえばハムはあまり好きではない私
。ビジネスラウンジのほうにチーズあるかな、と覗きに行った所びっくりぃ！
いつもはSASラウンジのほうが充実しているのですが本日に限りこちらは生ハムとモッアレラチーズ、トマト、レッドオニオンのスライスが。
こちらセレクションのほうが私の好みです。
ちなみにこちらはシナモンパンのスライスがありました。



The SAS lounge has reopened after the summer closure, however the buffet is on the *boring* end for me as I am a cheese person and not ham lover.

I usually walk over to the business lounge to snatch a cinnamon roll which they more often have in there rather than on the GOLD lounge.
Guess what I found there.
Cheese, and better quality ham!
This was unexpected and nice surprise.

Stockholm Arlanda Airport

夏のバカンスシーズンも終わりに差し掛かったスウエーデンです。
今日の空港はこんな感じ。七夕の装飾に似てません？

The summer holiday season has almost ended here in Sweden.
Still, Arlanda is crowded.
